The Quantum IoT Platform allows you to leverage data from external sources or sent data to them. These services could include but are not limited to: Music Services like Spotify, Voice Control like Alexa, weather information or even sending SMS. Services are enabling a secure access to these third party providers. You can enable and install Services through the Library.
Every setup is different you can find guides to each Service right here inside the documentation.
The general process is:
Activate service from the Store site
Enter setup parameters
Done! You can now use that service with your Application. Apps have specific objects for each Service
Services are very specific. They interact with external resources like voice recognition, databases, weather services, SMS messaging services and others
Gateways add Devices to your System - Services do not
For Services you can find specific Objects inside the Application builder - Gateways just use the general hardware objects that the Q-Clients also uses.
