Edit a client


Introduction

Every client that is connect to your system can be configured with some properties that will help you further down the road when setting up application mapping or uploading firmware.

Edit a client

Name

Your client can be named through the text field. Come up with a good and descriptive title to help you understand what this client is doing for you or what the context of this client will be in the application.


Location

You can select from 3 predefined locations to better understand where your client is placed within your house, apartment or use case. To add or delete existing locations please refer to this article.


Other Information

This information can’t directly be changed in here, but will change when you upload a new firmware file for example.

Client ID

The client ID will never change and is assigned in the factory. This is your unique identifier for your client. When you first pair your client to the system this is the name it will appear as in the unpaired tab of the client view. You can’t change this client ID.

Firmware File

Describes the current firmware file that is installed on the client. Once you upload a different firmware this will change accordingly. This info is available to you here to give you a better understanding of that the current capability of your client might be in case you have forgotten.

Version

This version is dynamically generated by the Quantum Firmware Generator. This version can help for debugging purposes in case there are any issues with the generated firmware.
