Use Ikea Tradfri with Quantum

Setup

This tutorial will show you how to setup the Quantum IKEA Smart Home (Tradfri) Gateway

What you will need

  • Hostname / IP Address of your device (You can use Advanced Ip Scanner or your Router Interface)

  • Security Code (found at the bottom of your Tradfri Bridge)

Activating the Tradfri Gateway

Navigate to the Library on your Q-Server Central via the toolbar on the left hand side of your screen.

Next, click on the Gateways Tab.

Hit the Download button beneath the Tradfri gateway. You should receive a notification that the Tradfri Gateway has downloaded successfully.

 

Again, using the toolbar on the left hand side of the screen navigate to the Gateways page. Now, select the Start function from the Actions drop down menu.

Step 1 - Enter the Hostname/IP Address and Security Code of your Bridge:

You can find the IP Address by using Advanced IP Scanner our your Router Network Interface. The Security Code is on the back of your Tradfri Bridge.

After entering the Information hit Next. On Step 2 the Identity and PSK will be filled out by the gateway.

 

Again, click the next button and finish by clicking the Activate button on the following page.

Now you can navigate to your Clients page to see a list of all of the Tradfri devices that are connected to your system.
