After you have opened
When the server is first started it will search for any available updates and will require you to press the “Update” Button before you continue with the Setup, if there is an update available.
INSERT UPDATE SCREENSHOT
If this update has concluded or there is no update available you’ll be lead through a Wizard which will help you setting up your Central Core.
Step 1 - Pin Code
The first step of the wizard will guide you through the creation of the Pin. This Pin will be used for authenticating yourself to system as well as encrypting system secrets like Gateway credentials.
Please make sure to memorize or note your Pin code, as there is no way to use the Central Core when you forget or loose the Pin without doing a factory reset.
After your have confirmed your Pin code the status indicator on the LED should turn solid green.
Step 2 - Quantum Cloud
The wizard will ask you for your Quantum Cloud login. You can also skip this step, but be aware that generating firmware does not work without the Central Core being logged into.
Step 3 - Configure country and timezone
Step 3 in the wizard will require you to enter your country and timezone. This information will be used to use time in a standardized manner and make delayed events possible.
Step 4 - Developer Mode
The wizard will ask you whether you want to enable the Developer Mode. This is active by default.
Developer Mode will enable you to create firmware and apps. If you choose to disable developer mode you’ll only be able to download apps and firmware through the store.
