1.8 - Changing Units of Measurement

Overview

Today we are going to show you how to change the units of measurements in the Quantum system.

Hardware

To show you how to change the units, we are using some hardware components connected to the Q-Client. We are using a temperature sensor and a distance ultrasonic sensor.

Getting Started

We assume that you have already built your circuit, the builder base is paired and also the app and firmware is running. Start the app by clicking on the play button.

Once the app is running, click on the dashboard icon on the top right corner to view the app.

You should see some numbers with units for your sensors now.

Changing the units of measurement

As you can see, the distance is measured in inches and the temperature in Fahrenheit. So if you want to change those measurements now into metric units, go back to the home screen of the Q-Server and click on the ‘Settings’ button in the top right corner.

Then click onto General Settings and scroll down to “Measurement”.

You can then switch the measurement between the Imperial and Metric system.

If you go back to your dashboard, you should see now that the units have changed.

That’s how you change the units of measurement on the Q-Server. We hope this is useful for you and happy making!
